Hi Tom,
well I have a few dozens tools but you are correct, I don't need to use more than 20 in same job.
I would like to assign a unique ID (number) to each tool and never change it after that.
This way all the G-Code I write remais valid with time, and risk of errors is greatly reduced.
My understanding was that as a max number of 99 tools is allowed and I have less than 99 tools, I could assign a unique number to each tool and stay safe from errors.
If the workaround is to write different tool tables and having to remember which tool table to load depending on which job I think I prefer having a unique tool table and editing it with notepad...
can you confirm KmotionCNC will still work correctly with a longer tool table, and the only non-working thing will be the editor ?
Thank you,
EC

Hi EC,
The Tool Editor Screen is only setup to allow editing of 20 Tools. How many do you have?
Do you need to use more than 20 Tools in one Job? You should be able to have different Tool Table Files. One defines a mix of 20 Tools and another a mix of 20 Tools.
